The Rogue Players of CST present Shakespeare Hamlet (7:00 pm - 9:00pm)
From Calendar: Events Calendar
Location: The Palisades Presbyterian Church 117 Washington Spring Road, Palisades, NY
Details:
Come and experience first-hand how the greatest of all classical playwrights influences our modern writers. This edgy offering from the teen company of The Children’s Shakespeare Theatre will be an exciting exploration of what it really means “to be or not to be – “ alive or dead…on stage or off…in one time period or another.
Shakespeare’s Hamlet is one of the most exciting plays to see and to work on, and this 2-hour production cuts right to the heart of the story. Fast-paced, clear and beautifully staged, it will be a delight for audiences of children and adults alike. This production also offers a unique twist – the part of Hamlet will be played by two actors, one male and one female. These two illuminate the great range of personality embodied in the single character of Hamlet, and the great question becomes an incredibly beautiful conversation born of a soul in conflict. Recommended for children aged 5 and up.
Opening Gala: Friday, December 2 – special ticket pricing: adults $20, kids 18 and under $10 – includes reception and talk-back with the actors.
All other performances, tickets are $12 adults, $10 seniors, $8 kids ages 18 and under
