Self taught artist and Nyack resident Peter Cheney exhibits his art in “The world according to Peter Cheney.” His paintings, sometimes on found objects, reflect the simplicity and directness of country road signs, while his animal characters tell anecdotes of his time in Rockland County and in his day-to-day life.

Hundreds of colorful Street Vendors highlighting hand crafted products from around the region, A Kids Playground with rides, inflatables, face painting and much more, all in a closed off lot for kids to run around and have fun, The Haverstraw’s Harvest Farmers Market with extended hours, including locally grown and hand-picked local produce will be featured and The International Food & Music Court, complete with live music from the big stage, fabulous food vendors and a dancing spot. Entertainment will be provided by CloudNyne, a high-energy live band, featuring a spectacular mix of music, from yesterday’s favorites to today’s hottest dance hits.
The fair is free of charge and open to the public.

Earth and Sea showcases the work of three artists exploring the natural landscape using their own unique processes to illustrate movement, form and human interaction with the elements. Zaria Forman’s intricate drawings explore moments of transition, turbulence and tranquility in the landscape and their impact on the viewer. Gretchen Kane layers transparent color and line, creating movement, repetition and relationship in her work. Leah Oates’s photography responds to sites and objects that are often ignored and articulates the effects of social processes and consumption on the landscape.

Using ingenious homemade camera riggings, Australian artist Callum Cooper creates films that flip and spin placing the viewer inside the action, much like being on a ride in an amusement park. Created at the Vytlacil Campus of the Arts Student League of New York, 2011.

Rockland resident and nationally acclaimed recording artist Jon Pousette-Dart will perform a special local concert to support ROSA 4 Rockland’s efforts to protect area drinking water and prevent the overdevelopment of the historic and forested 208-acre Patrick Farm property. Enjoy this special outdoor performance by Pousette-Dart, Steven “Muddy” Roues, and Ross Pilot, while supporting ROSA, currently representing the best interests of area residents as it continues its legal battle to prevent inappropriate development of this beautiful and environmentally important area.
